Digital photography is rapidly replacing the use of film and making it easier for most anyone to produce instant results and reasonable quality photographic images. However, the results achieved when attempting product photography for your company’s website or newsletter may be disappointing.

The public image of the company will be affected by these images and it is important to make all product photos, brochures and trade show displays as good as possible. Larry Guyer, owner of A la Carte Digital Studios, has been a professional photographer for over 30 years. Eight years ago he converted to 100% digital capture, now using three different digital camera systems. The knowledge gained from his years as a product and food photographer and in digital imaging have been shared in presentations to photo industry conferences, to small business organizations and by one-on-one training for individual companies.

Training programs are offered in a series of affordable half-day sessions, customized to the needs of the company and the individual’s experience and job expectations. Topics can include photographic basics (f-stops to camera settings), principals of lighting, product photography tips and techniques, as well as Photoshop enhancements and preparation of files for websites and printing.
